Happy Shopping Face

Saturday I was able to go shopping with my sister-in-law (Paula) and my niece (Aubrey Grace)! If that isn't the cutest "happy about shopping" face I don't know what is!!!
She'll be a pro-shopper pretty soon!
:)

Game #2 at Collinwood

Game #2 was against Collinwood.
Above is a picture of the Panther captains before the game started.
I love this picture I took of Barrett watching the captains at mid-field!

And here is "Coach Earnest" with his "Little Buddy" - Coach Sharp! I couldn't stop laughing at how funny they looked standing next to each other.

And here's the sign. I am sorry for the quality of the picture, but my camera is broken and the iPhone had to work. I even tried editing it a little bit, but the quality is too bad.

The sign says, "Got Panthers?"

Unfortunately, the Panthers were not able to pull out a victory against Collinwood.
The final score was 26-8.
Hopefully, the guys will be ready next week for Page!

Come on Panthers!!!

Warning From the Lady Panthers

I am so excited to be helping with volleyball again this year. This year is definitely different from last year, simply because the girls and I know each other better.

Every year the volleyball team gets to order team shirts. The seniors get to pick out the design of the shirt. I was really impressed with the shirts this year!
Here's what the front looks like...
My favorite part of the shirt is the back. The girls came up with this on their own...

I'd say that's a pretty serious warning!
Watch out for those Lady Panthers!

Game #1 vs. Mt. Pleasant

I can't believe the 2010 football season is here! You all may remember, but I started the tradition of taking a picture of the cheerleaders sign last year.
So, I had to keep the tradition going.

Here's your sign! :)

It says, "The 'best' things come in black and gold."
I had to get a few picture of B on the field!
Last year he spent the entire year in the coach's box, and now he is back on the field!

Telling the guys what plays to run on defense! :)
And under those Friday night lights!

I wish I could report that we were able to pull out a victory for the season opener, but the Panther's lost 30-20. Let's hope we see that win column next week against Collinwood!

Feeling Crafty

I have been trying to get in the "crafty spirit" lately.
One of my friends from work let me have an old lamp,
and I was so excited to transform it!
I started by spray painting the base of the lamp.
My cousin, Cristan, blogged about this paint here,
and I was excited to try it in my project!
2 coats later!

The next step was to apply the fabric to the old lamp shade.
You simply hot glue the top and the bottom.

The next step was adding a little more detail to the top and bottom of the lamp.
And finally tassels for the bottom. :)

And "ta - da"! I still haven't decided on the perfect spot for the lamp, but I was very pleased with my first attempt at this little project!
I just love transforming things!

Stay tuned for another blog about lamp transformation!
I bought the material to make a houndstooth lamp for our Alabama room!

Meet the Panthers 2010

Every year the football booster club hosts a "Meet the Panthers" dinner. It is so hard for me to believe this is the 3rd year for us to be in Lewis County! The football field is pretty incredible for a high school field. This year the newest edition to the field will be a 25 second clock.
Anyway, after eating a delicious dinner, everyone heads to the football field to meet the Panther cheerleaders, football team, and coaches for the upcoming season.
Meet the Panther Cheerleaders!!!

Meet your 2010 Panther football players

And here are the coaches...

I have a little crush on the big guy in the khaki shorts :)

The Panther coaches again.

I finally took a picture (took only 3 years to get one)!

This is Coach Sharp's wife, Sue. I absolutely love her!
We have so much fun riding to the away games together!

I can't wait for the season to start!!!
GO PANTHERS!!!

Little White Chapel

I loved where Barrett and I had our wedding. I had fallen in love with Willowood Ranch's Chapel long before Barrett and I were engaged, and I knew that would be the perfect place for our wedding. Here is a picture of the outside of the chapel....

And here is one of the happiest days of my life!

Ok, now here comes the cool part...

I love Kari Jobe. She is a Christian artist with a beautiful voice and worshipful spirit. I was watching her very first music video and was so surprised to see the "little white chapel" that inspired her song (and where the music video was filmed) was at Willowood!

How cool is that?
Here is the video and song!

Bindi's Dairy Queen Treat

Bindi was in the car with us when we had a sudden craving for a blizzard from Dairy Queen. When we pulled up to the window to pay, the worker asked if we wanted a "doggie treat". (Just a little side note... I love when banks and other drive thru's have doggie treats!) We told the drive thru worker that we would love for Bindi to get a treat. After the lady gave us our blizzards she handed us a small cup of soft serve ice cream saying, "Here's your doggie treat!" I can only imagine the look on our faces, because we were expecting the typical milkbone dog treat! Barrett and I decided she could have a little bit of it, and I had to snap a few pictures! She LOVED it!
Here she is after enjoying her ice cream treat!

So sweet!

Cheesy Crockpot Chicken

I tried a new easy recipe tonight for dinner, and it was delicious!

Here is what you will need:
  • 4--6 chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken
  • 1 can cream of cheddar
  • garlic salt
  • pepper

Sprinkle the chicken breast with garlic salt and pepper.

Mix cream of chicken and cream of cheddar together.

Pour mixture over chicken breast. Cook on low for 6 hours.

And ENJOY!!!
